Diabetes ADIME Note- Diabetes ADIME Note- In my Medical Nutrition Therapy class, we completed a series of case studies and ADIME notes. This particular note deals with a patient with complicated type 2 diabetes mellitus. The patient was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and did not maintain a proper diet specific for his disease. Therefore, the patient suffered from complications such as deterioration of vision. I used the given situation and lab values and assessed the patient, gave a diagnosis and points for intervention, monitoring and evaluation.
Hospital Menu Food List- Hospital Menu- I created this menu for my Food Systems Operations class. We were given a complete breakfast menu and were required to create the lunch and dinner portions for East Alabama Medical Center. Close attention was paid to the calorie content and nutritional value of the food. Over the course of the semester, we had to adjust our meal for specific diets such as mechanical soft, renal, diabetic and gluten free.
Endocrine Case Study- Endocrine Case Study- I completed this case study in my Medical Nutrition Therapy class with a small group of peers. We evaluated three different endocrine cases presented to us in order to better understand how diabetes and diabetic ketoacidosis are presented in patients.
